Doula Connections is a group of DONA trained and certified birth doulas dedicated to improving the birth experience of pregnant women and their families in Edmonton and surrounding areas. We are committed to helping you achieve the birth that you desire. We provide a wide range of comfort techniques to make labour easier for you to handle. Our doulas are trained to answer questions that may arise during your labour. Your doula will make suggestions to aid labour progression, help with relaxation techniques, provide massage, and give reassurance and perspective about what is happening. We are independent and self employed: we do not work for the hospital or your care provider.
At Doula Connections we provide shared-care doula services. This means that you will get to meet both of our doulas during your prenatal visits, but only one will attend your birth, depending upon who is on call when you go into labour. We also have a list of certified backup doulas in the unlikely event that neither doula is able to attend your birth.
